Wranglers’ Mainguy-Crépault signs with AJHL’s Dragons

Loïc Mainguy-Crépault of the 100 Mile House Wranglers has signed to play for the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for the 2022-23 season.

The 18-year-old from Quebec City played a season in the KIJHL and won seven of 24 games for the rebuilt Wranglers.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Drumheller Dragons in the AJHL. A huge thank you to Dunner (Dale Hladun) for everything,” said Mainguy-Crépault. “I wouldn’t be there without him and thank you to all the Wranglers staff and players. They pushed me to become a better player each day and each practice.”

The 6-1,180-pound goalie was the backbone of the Wranglers and had a .910 save percentage.

“We are excited and proud to say Loïc has moved up to play with the Drumheller Junior A Dragons of the AJHL,” said Wranglers Head Coach Hladun. “Loïc was an outstanding Wrangler with his constant high-level of compete as well as his leadership amongst our club.  I fully believe Loïc will continue to have a bright hockey future and will be playing at higher hockey levels for many seasons to come.”
