Wranglers alum Stevenson records AHL-leading third shutout

Former 100 Mile House Wranglers goalie Clay Stevenson leads the American Hockey League with three shutouts for the Hershey Bears.

Stevenson has five wins in eight games with a 1.75 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Three of Stevenson’s last four wins have been by a shutout, including on Nov. 18 against the Bridgeport Islanders as he stopped 25 shots. His other two shutout performances were against Lehigh Valley, with 24- and 32-save performances.

Stevenson has played 11 career AHL games and has an 8-3-0 record with a 1.81 GAA and a .926 SP.


Kristian Stead

In other Wranglers alum news, Kristian Stead (2013-15), who is 2-5-0 this season with the Knoxville Ice Bears in the SPHL, has been loaned to the ECHL’s Tulsa Oilers. Stead has shared the Ice Bears crease with Zane Steeves (Wranglers alum – 2015/16) and they both played in a game on Oct. 27 in a loss to Birmingham. Steeves was named the third star as he stopped 14 of 15 shots in 24:36 of action.
